There was a long history of Archery in the Clacton area before Clacton Archers opened the present club in 1970 to amalgamate all the various interests. The club caters for all types of archery, including Recurve, Compound and Longbows.

The club is affiliated to GNAS, Archery GB, and is a target shooting club.
The club meets twice a week throughout the year, Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings. See Club information for further details
Two Open Tournaments are organised each year under the auspices of Archery GB: an indoor event in January and an outdoor one in July, both attracting competitors from far afield.
The club is known in the area among charities and other fund raising organisations, for running Have A Go events, with the proceeds being divided between the club (to help with club funds) and the charity concerned.
We are proud of the fact that amongst our members, we have three qualified coaches. These personnel mean that archers of all ages and experience, can benefit from first class coaching in order to obtain the necessary experience to qualify for Archery GB membership, enable them to shoot at club meets and improve their abilities to higher levels.
